About the school
Northern Shaolin Kung Fu UK is a Pinner school for people who want to train with purpose: learning a traditional art while developing practical skill, physical resilience and quiet confidence.

Northern Shaolin Kung Fu is known for its long-range movement, powerful stances, coordinated kicking and a broad vocabulary of traditional forms. At the school, that heritage is approached as something to practise, not simply to admire.
Students are encouraged to understand why techniques work: how stance, timing, balance and awareness support both the form and its practical use.
Guidance on the floor
Training is led with patience, structure and high standards. The Sifu's role is to make the art accessible at the first session, then help every student build reliable habits through focused repetition, corrections and steady progression.

Lessons balance explanation with doing, so movement, fitness and confidence grow together over time.
What the school values
For training partners, for the space and for the responsibility that comes with learning martial arts.
Progress comes from regular practice, attention to detail and a willingness to keep learning.
Skill is developed through restraint, awareness and calm decision-making, not aggression.
Traditional movement is taught alongside the distance, timing and composure that make self-defence meaningful.
Traditional forms and practical self-defence
Forms build coordination, posture, mobility and recall. Self-defence training explores distance, positioning, awareness and calm responses under pressure. Together, they give students a deeper understanding of how to move well, protect themselves and train responsibly.
Adults, teens and children can begin with an introductory session and see how the school trains.
